Belhaven Scottish Ale

Belhaven Scottish Ale is as the name says, a Scotch Ale. Right off the bat I was impressed with this deep rich red color and massive, tight amber head. With each sip the foam clung to the side of the glass like a stout. Sometimes looks can be deceiving, but with this ale it was spot on. Nice malty flavor with a taste of toffee and a tang of peat. This beer only got better as I drank it and it kept me longing for another when I was done.

One tip – enjoy the aroma and look of the beer for a couple of minutes, let it warm up and you’ll have a very pleasant drinking experience
