Simply Beer Presents: Captain Lawrence / Passionné Beer Dinner
If you are in the New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania area on Tuesday April 27th, you don’t want to miss this. Scott Vaccaro, Owner of Captain Lawrence Brewery and I have selected 5 amazing Captain Lawrence beers which Chef Mike Carrino, Owner of Restaurant Passionné, and I have paired into a spectacular 5 course dinner.
Captain Lawrence Brewery, in my opinion, is one of the best breweries around, while still relatively small they produce a wide variety of phenomenal craft beer. Since Captain Lawrence is one of my favorite breweries and I have a ton of respect for what Scott Vaccaro is doing in Pleasantville NY, it is only fitting to pair their beer with one best and most creative Chefs around, Mike Carrino. Besides having been on Food Network and the Today Show, cooking for heads of state and the James Beard Foundation, and a Culinary Institute of America Graduate, he’s passionate about beer!

Man! If I lived in the area or had to cash to fly out, I would be there in a second. It seems like you are becoming a beer rock star in the area. When we do finally get going as a brewery, I think we’ll have to have you out for something like this.
Your too kind Mike. I’m just trying to help the good name of Craft Beer and doing what I can to get NJ a better reputation in the beer world. Rock Star, leave that for others. This is going to be an amazing dinner. I’ve had all the food (accept desert) with the beers and it is well worth the price of admission!
I am SO there… love the Captain!
Had a fantastic time! Learned a lot about beer, the food was great, the beer was great! Peter was a great host!
Thank you Simply Beer!
