3 Months 10 Beers – The First Winner!

This is the second time around I’m trying to find 10 beers my wife will love, atleast like.  We did this once before about a two years ago and a couple of weeks ago Dani said we should try it again.  I think it is wonderful that she is willing to try and find something, especially since I’m such a big beer dork.  About 10 days into this challenge we found our fist winner Flying Dog Atlantic Lager.  This is a wonderfully flavorful 4.7% session lager.  Actually one of my new favorites when I want to drink without catching a buzz.

But believe me it wasn’t easy getting to this point.  Dani tried a bunch of different beers with no luck, not that these are bad beers because I liked them, they just didn’t float her boat.  She tried:

• Zoe by Maine Beer Company
• Ramstein Oktoberfest
• Hibernator by Long Trail Brewing
• XIV by BFM (Brasserie des Franches-Montagnes)
• Black by Allagash Brewing Company
• Stone Smoked Porter by Stone Brewing Co.
• Ranch Double IPA by Victory Brewing Company
• and a few others I can recall

But when she tried the Flying Dog Atlantic Lager, she said and I quote, “Wow, I actually like this beer.  I could drink a whole bottle and be very happy!” Which, if you know my wife and some of the colorful terminology she can use, this is high praise.
